Design Director At Territory NFP

Territory NFP is seeking a Design Director to support the Executive Director and Program Manager in creating a design rich environment for teens to thrive, and cultivating a design practice model that reflects Territory’s values. This position includes the creation of program content, execution of design thinking processes, and collaborative engagement with program teens and community partners.

As a Design Director, this person will be primarily responsible for:

• Design Excellence and Quality Assurance
• Annual and seasonal scheduling support
• Staff development in design
• Project descriptions and deliverables management
• Lead program staff meetings
• Support the development of partnerships and clients
• Attend quarterly board meetings Hours and Location
• 20 hours per week to start, opportunity to develop into a full-time position
• Hybrid work environment, remote and in-person at Territory's design studio

Territory seeks a current design professional, student, or design enthusiast with 3-5 years of experience in architecture, public art, or design-affiliated field. Licensed architects or those working towards licensure are preferred. The candidate should have passion and drive for creative youth development, and public interest design.
