Salary:

$84,800+ depending on experience!

The Dental Practice Manager is responsible for developing, revising, and implementing the Dental Department’s policies and procedures, and overseeing the dental department day to day operations, including the following dental department functions: registration of new and established dental patients; schedules; patient flow; telephones; collection of fees and insurance information; referrals; and accuracy of the patient’s demographic data.

  • Supervise Dental Treatment Coordinators, Oral Health Care Coordinator, Referral Coordinators & Dental Administrative Assistant and conduct performance evaluations as required/requested.
  • Coordinate clinic coverage for both sites and prepare monthly clinic calendars.
  • Oversee maintenance of scheduling system including new provider schedules, provider schedule blocks and changes, schedule accuracy, scrubbing and optimization.
  • Ensure after-hours schedules are completed and submit copies to answering service.
  • Evaluate daily operations and services of the Dental Department to ensure efficient patient flow and productivity,
  • Track and manage PTO requests, administrative leave and CEU used by the dental providers.
  • Participate in recruitment and hiring of dental front office and support staff when needed.
  • Review and respond to patient complaints related to the Dental Department
  • Facilitate privileging and orientation of new dental providers.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement, Dental Operations, Dental Staff, Leadership Team and Compliance Committee meetings.

Required Experience:


Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Three to five years’ experience in managing health care delivery systems.
  • Ability to compose letters, memoranda, policies, and protocols.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements of a dental clinic (i.e. AAAHC, state licensing, OSHA).
  • Ability to multitask, make independent decisions, communicate with tact and diplomacy in difficult situations.
  • Strong organizational skills, including ability to plan, implement and follow-up.
  • Computer literate.
  • Travel to both Grass Valley and Auburn locations
  • Current and in good standing: CDL, vehicle insurance and DMV report.
