As a Roof Loader/Helper at Beacon, you will load and unload building materials at multiple job sites locally and ensure smooth, on-time delivery of products.Strong, energetic, customer-focused individuals who like to be active at work fit in well here!
We are currently seeking a Delivery Helper/Roof Loader to join the team.

What will my day-to-day look like?

• Participates in manually loading orders on outgoing trucks by repetitive lifting of up to 75+ lbs.
• Accompany driver to job site; assist driver by guiding truck onto and off of customer’s property to avoid damage.
• Participants in the proper unloading of materials to roof by repetitive lifting or using conveyor at job sites.
• Maintain cleanliness and neatness of warehouse, which could include cleaning and painting.
• Assists customers in loading vehicles.
• Count, verify and manually unload incoming orders and shipments.
• Maintain inventory in appropriate/designated storage areas in warehouse.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What are the requirements?

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be a self-starter, dependable and a team player.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 75+ pounds frequently throughout the day
• Must have reliable transportation to work each day.
• Must be able to physically and safely deliver products on roof.

• Adhere to and understand safety policies and regulations, put safety first and utilize all provided PPE

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 75+ pounds repeatedly throughout the day
• Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Will need to access rooftops for specific deliveries

What will give me an edge over other applicants?

• Experience working with building materials helpful
• Working from Heights certification a big plus
• Forklift certification a plus
• Prior roofing experience a plus
