Our Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Driver/Warehouse Associate to join our team of professionals in North Reading, MA.
This person will work with other members of the distribution team to increase company profitability and customer satisfaction by delivering complete, accurate, and on-time product to Richelieu’s customers, as well as play a vital role in the assistance of day-to-day warehousing responsibilities. He/she will represent the company in a highly professional, safe, and cost-effective manner that complies with DOT and other applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing of items and verifying the accuracy of shipping papers
- Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc. to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with preventive maintenance in mind
- Deliver orders via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customers’ needs
- Maintain communication with company during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are received
- Document delivery, accuracy and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives and report any discrepancies to company
- Increase customer satisfaction by collecting information, feedback on service and resolving complaints per company policy; communicate information back to company
- Maintain and monitor truck maintenance and driving record requirements, as well as required documents for safety, security and quality processes
- Assist in day-to-day warehousing responsibilities, including shipping/receiving, inventory counting, forklift operation, and other ad-hoc duties as required
- Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required
- Standard working hours are Monday - Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 1 year related experience in a similar position
- Valid Class D License and Medical Examiners Certificate is required
- Excellent driving record free of violations
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs, as manual labor is required from time to time during customer deliveries
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Team focused, shows initiative, dedicated, and reliable
- High School diploma preferred

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Occasionally required: exposure to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather), working in high, precarious places
- Frequently required: standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling or crawling, talking or hearing, lifting/pushing/carrying items up to or more than 50 pounds, exposure to outside weather conditions, working near moving mechanical parts
- Continuously required: utilization of hand and finger dexterity, utilization of visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
