Delivery Driver/Independent Contractor

Quality Biomedical is seeking a driver with his / her own cargo van, sprinter or box truck, to pick up and deliver small to medium pieces of medical equipment.

The radius for pickups and deliveries will be 200 to 375 miles from the Service Center in Boston; specific routes will vary from 100 - 600 miles round trip, and will generally include several stops.

This driver will work in conjunction with our Logistics Manager and may involve crossing state lines occasionally.

The owner / driver will be an independent contractor with a vehicle that is properly licensed, insured, and maintained, and is DOT registered.

For successful completion of routes in this area we require that the vehicle to be used have a minimum of 220 Cubic Feet of cargo capacity.

The owner/ driver is also expected to have a clean driving record, and must have a $1M Commercial Liability Policy at minimum (Cargo Insurance, specifically, is currently not required).

The Company will enter into a formal agreement for the provision of delivery services.

The successful owner / driver will be paid $0.75 a mile ROUND TRIP (billed as from and to the cross dock), for each assignment.

Assignments will be available 5 days each week, Monday-Friday; as our business expands in this region, this is full-time opportunity. Drivers in this region typically earn $800-$2300 per week. This may vary.

Optional overnight opportunities may arise as the company continues to grow.
