Job Description
Come be a part of New England's favorite bulky roll and bread company! Calise Bakery has immediate openings for Route Sales Representatives (non-CDL)

with a friendly and efficient demeanor to service our retail, restaurant, and other business with Calise bread and roll products on an established route. You will be responsible for ensuring customers are receiving orders on time and in the quantities they have ordered.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Successfully manage time sensitive deliveries and assure fresh product conditions in retail outlets.
  • Execute established Company safety, sales, and marketing strategies.
  • Operate Company box trucks or other vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Responsible for reporting to work on time to meet the needs of the business
  • Maintain close working relationship and communication with Sales Manager, upervisors and customers
  • Manage all route sales related activities in assigned position and territory
  • Responsible for accurate accounting of product received and sold and revenues generated or received.
  • Responsible for participating in all activities set out by the company in support of the Food Safety Modernization Act.
  • Everyone has responsibility to support and follow our Food Safety and Food Defense programs.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21
  • Minimum 1 years of Direct Sales Distribution service or sales experience is a plus
  • Safe driving history required
  • Must pass DOT physical and obtain DOT medical card

Salary & Benefits

  • Compensation: Weekly salary plus commission on net sales. Average earnings are greater than $60,000
  • Health, dental, vision and life insurance benefits, 401k plan, paid holidays. Training pay included.
  • Additional benefits: Eligible for current day rate for full day work performed on normal off day.


Skills Requirements:


  • Minimum of H.S./G.E.D. required.
  • Industry specific knowledge – should have direct working experience in retail and food service business
  • General business knowledge – must have general knowledge of customer service best practices
  • Job related knowledge – must have effective skills in selling , decision making, communication (written and oral), and enthusiasm for the position
  • Must be self-motivated, a successful independent worker and a team player
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have good computer skills to input orders
  • Work planning, organization, and execution – must be effective at planning and organizing self and work day
  • Physical capabilities – must be able to perform physical requirements of the position including lifting (min. 50 lbs.)
