Job Description

The Role
Manage and lead a team of 7-10 Delivery Assurance Field Representatives. The role of the role of the Delivery Assurance Field Representative (DAFR) is to represent the OEM at supplier vendors to ensure delivery of the Aero-Engine parts by committed dates. This role is very personable and will require the ability to maintain positive relationships at a variety of levels including engineers, buyers and program office at both supplier and OEM. You will be the eyes and ears of the OEM making detailed observations on part and process flow, identifying bottlenecks, and ensuring gap analysis and risk mitigation closure. In this role you will monitor MRP tools, production schedules, WIP (shop floor), and Non-conformances to provide status on commit dates and provide input for any necessary revisions.

  • Document shortcomings and disciplinary issues appropriately.
  • Able to adapt to dynamic customer requests and build customer relationships with a goal of above satisfaction.
  • Ability to decipher multiple data streams and present them in Excel/PPT format

Qualifications
  • 5-10+ years experience in Supply Chain activities
  • Prior management and/or employee mentoring experience is preferred
  • Experience improving supplier manufacturing delivery and building relationships with customers
  • BS or higher
  • Exposure to the Aero Engines is highly preferred
  • Experience with project management preferred- required to actively manage tasks
  • Proficiency with MS Office, particularly MS Excel, required

    Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
  • Mostly Office Environments. Occasional Shop Floor involvement
  • Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
  • Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
  • Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
  • Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9 AM to 4 PM
  • Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
