Deli Manager

Deli Manager for our Shop n’ Save, a St. Barnabas entity, on Tuscarawas Rd in Beaver, PA.

Must have customer service experience

• Oversees duties of all employees working in the Deli Department.
• Provides leadership and strong levels of customer service
• Held accountable for daily reporting, inventory control, and implementing and maintaining a safe working environment for all customers and team members.
• Train employees on equipment usage and ensure that each employee has current licenses or certifications on equipment
• Evaluate performance of staff periodically and coach and counsel as necessary to recommend personnel actions such as retention
• Review advertised sale items each week and verifies the work of the scan coordinator to ensure that advertised prices are correct
• Will have responsibilities of opening and closing duties
• Participate in the unloading of distribution trucks
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills for dealing with customers, employees and interfacing vendors.
• Must have analytical skills necessary to study and interpret various reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ensure complete compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements throughout your daily work.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, food preparation areas, and equipment
• Will be working with a deli slicer/deli stacker
• Duties will include but not limited to, slicing deli meats and cheeses to order, frying and baking chicken and other products, preparing sandwiches, salads, entrees and more
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Make product suggestions and assist customers with special orders
• Stock cases and ensure that our customers have a variety of high-quality deli items to choose from
