Job Description

The DC Trainer will facilitate home department orientation, onboarding, and process implementation to lead new team members to optimal performance in accordance with network standards. Provide instruction during initial and cross-training certification process, re-evaluations and maintenance training efforts using classroom and on-the-job training methods.

Shift: Sunday - Thursday 7:00 pm - 3:30 am

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for training new hires to accurately, consistently, & safely work in a distribution center environment
  • Evaluate trainees for the effectiveness of training and individual employee development
  • Cross-train eligible team members in compliance with the Lulus DC Cross-Training Program
  • Ensure team members are certified in job tasks
  • Evaluate current training materials for relevancy as well as create new materials when processes are updated under the guidance of the Training Supervisor
  • Choose appropriate training methods per case (simulations, mentoring, on the job training, development workshops, etc.)
  • Prepare educational aids and materials (training handbooks or paperwork for any procedural changes) as directed by the training supervisor
  • Provide train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts (example: peer trainers must pass a certification course)
  • Responsible for performing daily audits, logging errors, and utilizing the data to discover patterns and trends to identify the next appropriate action
  • Train and work in all operations departments as needed
  • Other distribution center duties as directed by the training supervisor and/or operations manager

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education and Experience Required

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • A minimum of 2 years of warehouse material handling or experience working as a trainer, or similar work experience in warehousing or Fulfillment center positions i.e. Inbound, Outbound, Inventory Control, or Returns
  • Must be willing and available to work AM, PM and weekend shifts as business requires

Skills Required

  • Advanced oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Advanced organizational skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient skills in Google - Drive, Slides, and Sheets
  • Advanced knowledge of safety fundamentals in a distribution center environment
  • OSHA10 Certification - Training will be provided
  • Ability to work effectively with co-workers, external stakeholders and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner
  • Excellent work ethic and attendance
  • Consistency in communication regarding work progress, timetable and issues
  • Bilingual - English and Spanish desired

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
