General Manager, Strategy and Implementation
This role is responsible for the overall development and management of capabilities. Strategy and implementation for programs promoting the monetizing of logistics functionality. This responsibility includes the development of a strategic partnership with both internal and external partners aimed at creating a seamless flow of effort between our global distribution network, our solutions design team, integration and operations teams. A key focus will be with our sales and business management partners on expanding our effective reach into the marketplace. Key KPI’s include revenue growth, profitability, and expanded capabilities that drive market share.
Responsibilities
- Build Logistics/Supply Chain data set necessary to drive planning and decision making in the areas of logistics sourcing, budgeting, DC network design
- Develop supply chain modeling/optimization competencies and tools. Manage network optimization as the distribution/DC network roadmap evolves.
- Provide leadership and support in the planning and implementation of market and customer penetration strategies to cultivate and capture new business opportunities
- Responsible for P&L Management of the US fulfillment centers within the Omni-Channel Operations organization
- Responsible for the Operational Integrity of the US fulfillment centers
- Partner with Distribution Ops to model DC economics, simplify shipping operations, and make the package the “easiest delivery for our carriers to deliver”
- Improve proactive delivery management tools, improving the customer experience
- Partner with OPS Product Management to develop requirements that advance our technology tools for Logistics Management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Eight (8) years of logistics/supply chain experience.
- Broad knowledge of shipping requirements, strong focus on national, regional and local carriers.
- Understanding of warehouse and order fulfillment operations.
- Understanding of best industry practices, application of principles, concepts, practices and standards
