Datacom DBA

IAI is looking for a Senior Datacom Database Administrator (DBA) to support a key program in our government practice. The ideal candidate will have more than 10 years of experience as a Datacom DBA within a large-scale, multi-application mainframe environment. The Senior Datacom DBA is responsible for configuration, installation, operation, administration and development support of the Datacom Database and programs in a large mainframe environment. The candidate will work in close collaboration with software developers/engineers, stakeholders, and end users within Agile processes. The candidate will develop and implement innovative products, processes, standards or operational plans achieved through research and integration of best practices. Candidate will serve a lead role guiding teammates and promoting a collaborative environment to ensure product and team success. Implement strategic goals and provide significant improvements to the product(s) being supported. Establish operational plans for technical area. Active participation in release and sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations and retrospectives and solution releases. Provide input on best practices and procedures. Developing new and refining existing process to enhance quality and productivity.

Previous experience in a CA Datacom environment, Online and Batch URT / Data Dictionary and Datacom/DB Utilities. The Lead DBA will be skilled in debugging and tuning RAAT and SQL and is proficient with mainframe MVS/JCL and Utilities. Database monitoring and tuning tools, REXX and CLIST, and CA products to include CA-1 and CA-7. Object-oriented design and development (OODD), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline required.
