We are seeking a Database Administrator to learn and understand current systems, architectures, integrations, and technologies and how they interact within the data services framework.
Responsibilities
  • Design and maintenance of logical and physical databases.
  • Mirroring, SQL Reporting, Backups / Restores / Failovers.
  • Performance tuning, optimization, stored procedures, triggers.
  • Participate in data modeling (Conceptual/Logical/Physical) and other data initiatives addressing both new and existing systems.
  • Work closely with developers to provide data services to existing and new applications.
  • ETL (extract, transform and load) design, development, and support for moving large data volumes from various sources into the various destinations after significant cleansing, transformation, and processing.
  • Participate in requirements definition, analysis, and design of data related solutions.
  • Create complex reports using SQL Server Reporting and Analysis Services/ Power BI.
  • Participate in business process improvement.
  • Publish and communicate models to IT and business unit teams.
  • Ensure confidentiality of company information.
  • Build on your personal knowledge base through continued education and training.
  • Other duties as assigned by your direct or indirect supervisor.

Skills we are looking for
  • Four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Management Information Systems OR Comparable work experience.
  • Familiarity with Data Architecture concepts and standards.
  • Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) concepts and standards.
  • Familiarity with Rest and/or SOAP APIs.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Strong Analytical Skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Skilled at solving complex problems and implementing solutions.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and assume additional responsibility.
  • Ability to work and cooperate with a variety of people and personalities and foster a mutual trust within the team and organization.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Positive attitude and enthusiastic about expanding or enhancing current skillsets.
Shift is Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but must be able to work outside normal business hours when required.
