Data Scientist

Istari Oncology, Inc. is currently seeking a Data Scientist for immediate hire in our RTP Office, located in Morrisville-Durham, NC. The selected candidate will be responsible for collaborating and helping bridge Statistics and Clinical while developing standards for in-life reporting & data monitoring; as well as ad hoc reports and displays.

Essential functions:

• Interest in data visualization and exploration
• Ability to programmatically develop research tool to advance clinical development
• Ability to work with dynamic project teams in a rapid-paced environment
• Manage project deliverables, timelines and milestones
• Identify creative solutions for data-related issues identified in projects
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Requirements:

• Proficient in R
• Advanced scientific degree (MS, PhD) is preferred or BS with pharmaceutical / biotech experience
• Experience in SAS preferred (but not required)
• Prior experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare or science related industry a plus

Travel:

• Travel 10% of the time, within US.
