DATA ENTRY CLERK

We are seeking a DATA ENTRY CLERK in Wausau, Wisconsin at Aspirus Westwood Conference Center. The Data Entry Clerk ensures that proper accounting practices are followed when receiving and posting cash. Posts all charges, payments, allowances, and adjustments to appropriate accounts on a timely, accurate and consistent basis. Completes daily balance sheets. Works with Epic and other programs to balance remittance advices and performs quality assurance. May process credit card transactions, complete image scanning and assist with mail and deposits as needed.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of general office and accounting practices normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• An Associate Degree in Accounting and courses in business or computers beneficial.
• A working knowledge of computers, printers, accounts payable, credit and collection experience, plus a general understanding of governmental Medicare/Medicaid programs and third party commercial insurance rules and regulations beneficial.
• One to two years of related experience in a medical facility demonstrating an understanding of insurance billing and assisting patients with financial counseling necessary to enhance and develop skills.

Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. 80 hours per pay period. Benefits package available.
