*Shifts will be Mon-Friday, hours will generally be 9-5pm (but are subject to change based on availability). * Responsibilities:
- Interface with customers and vendors
- Answer phones and provide quality support
- Perform server and network troubleshooting
- End-to-end trouble ticket handling, troubleshooting, and resolution
- Network event tracking/notification
- Configure and Install equipment for service orders
- Keep collocation space clean and organized
- Strong experience in troubleshooting/fault isolation, teamwork, and multitasking
- Minimum of 3 years experience, preferably in a data center or tech support environment
- Strong understanding of Linux based operating systems
- Willing to arrive on time for work for any shift as needed including weekends and holidays (24/7 operation)
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated willingness to learn, teach, and share knowledge
- Ability to lift 60-75 lbs
- Network, Linux, and Windows troubleshooting experience
- Physical configuration and maintenance/troubleshooting of x86 hardware
- Ethernet cabling, crimping and testing
- Ethernet Switches
- IP Addressing (CIDR/Netmasks)
- DNS (basic dns/bind troubleshooting)
- HTTP (basic apache troubleshooting)
- SMTP (basic sendmail/qmail/postfix troubleshooting)
