Data And Pricing Analyst

As a Data / Pricing Analyst you will generate insights by conducting extensive analyses of, We Ship Express’ My SQL and Pricing data. You will showcase your analytic, leadership, and presentation skills; while gaining exposure to a wide variety of functional teams (transportation, operations, finance, customer service, etc.) within We Ship Express.

We are looking for someone that resides out of the St. Louis or Kansas City, Missouri location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop visually appealing and simple to use reporting for management
• Aggregate, filter and “clean data” from various sources
• Conduct insightful, ad-hoc analyses to investigate areas of opportunity with ongoing or one-time operational challenges
• Work with leadership to identify key metrics and build dashboards to assist in business decisions, helping guide the highest priorities
• Work closely across business units to identify key business levers, perform analyses, and communicate key findings to various stakeholders for data-driven recommendations
• Support the development of pricing margin analysis and pricing implementation
• Analyzes profitability of accounts by service type and reviews impact on profitability for various projects

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics or related field
• Knowledge of SQL / My SQL
• Advanced in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms
• Familiarity with handling large data sets and crunching numbers
• Understanding of general accounting principles
• Ideal candidate also has basic (high level) understanding of financial principles such as profit margin, p&l, and pricing proposals
• Able to scrutinize data and stay up to date on relative market data

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex problems into simpler terms, and effectively influence both peers and senior leadership
