Job Description

Reporting to the COO, the PSOE Data & Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring all federal, state, and authorizer compliance reports are submitted and correct, and internal compliance systems are maintained with integrity and accuracy. The person will develop deep operational knowledge of site-based operations, business management, reporting requirements, and process-driven accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Support all schools by maintaining existing systems for operating and reporting obligations, including, but not limited to, STN reporting, DOE Online reporting, and other compliance-related programs.
  • Oversee maintenance of the organization’s student information system, including working with schools to ensure all information is entered accurately and completely in a timely manner; managing the data close out and school opening process via the SIS; and troubleshooting problems as necessary in collaboration with a third-party vendor for support.
  • Provide on-call assistance to answer questions and provide training, as appropriate, for school leaders and reporting officials.
  • Act as a professional advisor to the COO and school principals on all aspects of the organization's compliance and reporting activities.
  • Foster effective teamwork with school leadership, as applicable.
  • Ensure effective systems are implemented effectively to track scaling progress, and regularly evaluate program components, so as to measure successes that can be effectively communicated.
  • Stay current on all due dates, legislative changes, and other news that would affect reporting and compliance related to the organization.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

The PSOE Data & Compliance Coordinator will be thoroughly committed to the PSOE mission. All candidates must have proven leadership, coaching, and relationship management experience. Concrete demonstrable experience and other qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree, with school business-management experience preferred
  • Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation.
  • Excellence in organizational management with the ability to set and achieves strategic objectives
  • Past success working collaboratively with a team with the ability to cultivate relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills.

  • Knowledge of leadership and management principles as they relate to non-profit/ voluntary organizations.
  • Knowledge of all federal and provincial legislation applicable to charter organizations.

The PSOE Data & Compliance Coordinator usually works in an office environment, but the mission of the organization may sometimes take them to non-standard workplaces. The PSOE Data & Compliance Coordinator works a standard workweek, but additionally will work evening, weekends, and any additional hours necessary to accommodate activities such as Board meetings and representing the organization at public events.
