Data Analyst (Remote Friendly)

Job Summary:

WebstaurantStore, the world’s largest online restaurant supply company, is looking for a full-time Data Analyst to join the data analyst team. Data Analysts are responsible for supplying statistical rigor to the team’s analytics projects, aimed at discovering actionable insights and opportunities for growth and optimization for the organization.

This role can be remote or based in one of our offices (Lititz, PA or Tampa, FL). See below for remote work requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Working with Analytics Lead on end-to-end execution of the data science process: helping clarify business requirements, data discovery and extraction, model development and evaluation, to production pipeline implementation.

Work closely with Business Intelligence Analysts, Business Intelligence Developers, and Marketing Data Analysts – sharing knowledge and collaborating on analytics projects.

Develop well written, easy to read notebooks to document and present analysis Ensuring adherence to solid engineering and data science principles, leaving external teams with maintainable code and models.

Utilize easily decipherable visualizations to report findings to managers and others, using tools such as Power BI, Data Studio or graphical packages in Python or R.

Ability to defend the validity of predictive/ML models to those with little background in data science or statistics.

Actively research new tools and technologies, staying on top of analytics news and best practices

Requirements:

• R &/or Python programming
• Strong SQL
• Experience using data mining techniques and predictive analytics to deliver actionable business insights
• Data Visualization experience using BI software (Power BI, Data Studio etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Experience with Google Cloud Products like Big Query, AI Platform, Vertex AI, etc. preferred
