Job Description

Summary

An Data Analyst will support our growing data needs across the organization. This position will be responsible for processing, analyzing, and communicating findings for large data sets to drive key business decisions. An Data Analyst will also develop new models to better understand emerging industry questions such as COVID implications and risk score completion trends.


Core Responsibilities:


  • Assist with data/database management initiatives to include data processing, database design, integration, and/or data modeling.
  • Use Microsoft T-SQL and other tools to conduct data analysis, data mining, build reports and document creation.
  • Troubleshoot and improve data collection processes and infrastructure.
  • Research, extract, analyze and summarize website data by using web crawling tools.
  • Work with IT to maintain our databases and conduct routine maintenance as needed to ensure data integrity.
  • Work with team to gain knowledge on new approaches to identify, plan and deploy new capabilities from data processes to dashboard.
  • Create appropriate documentation as necessary so that all stakeholders are able to understand the process and duplicate/update results, if needed.

Must have experience:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in either Math, Statistics, Computer Science or other similar degrees from an accredited higher learning institution. Equivalent experience with some education with be considered.
  • 2+ years as a data analyst, data engineer or related quantitative role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Intermediate T-SQL knowledge of writing code and queries.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for both a technical and non-technical audience.

Nice to have:


  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related Engineering field.
  • Programming skills.
  • Previous health care analytics experience working within a data-driven team.
  • Intermediate knowledge of SAS programming.
  • Intermediate knowledge of additional programming languages (R, Python, C++, etc.).
  • Previous database administration/management experience.
  • Knowledge of Medicare terminology.
