Job Description

Citizens Inc. is seeking a motivated and high-performing individual to join our team as the Data Analyst . A s uccessful marketing data analyst will be able to analyze qualitative data, identify trends, create strategies, and effectively communicate the overall findings . This position requires high attention to detail to generate insights to multiple internal teams. The Data Analyst will report directly to the VP of Strategy & Analytics and will work in a matrixed team, primarily working closely with Marketing & Operations sales teams. The position is located at the corporate headquarters in Austin, TX.

Essential Job Duties

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to perform the following:

  • Working with various teams to build out operational reporting dashboards
  • Working with members of the team to model activity trends and provide analytics for the specified audience
  • Raw data collection, validation adjustments, and presentations
  • Various client service and performance reporting
  • Experience or exposure to building reports based on raw data
  • Raw data conversion in Excel, Power BI, and SQL Cubes
  • Maintain, edit and update various marketing and operation dashboards
  • Support team with key research reports / dashboards
  • Continually looks for opportunities to add value to existing processes
  • Monitor trends in sales data and communicates implications of those trends to key stakeholders.
  • Produce and update department budgets and forecasts
  • Produces product performance forecasting necessary for strategic organizational planning.
  • Market Analysts work cross-functionally to produce data into strategic business decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of work experience in a Data Analyst role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint (Pivot Table experience preferred)
  • Familiarity with BI (Power BI, Tableau), & SQL Cube tools preferred but not required
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with other departments
