The Smart Mobility Office (SMO) within Panasonic acts as an incubation engine to capture new opportunities and become a gamechanger in the rapidly transforming transportation industry. The Cirrus team, within SMO, is creating disruptive technologies to advance vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology that transforms each vehicle into a true IoT device and leverages this data to revolutionize traffic management and safety on our roadways.
As an Intern Data Analyst, you will work closely with the Senior Data Scientist to create dashboards and analyses that will help drive our business forward! Activities will include working in Tableau and/or Jupiter Notebook to create and maintain visualizations, reports, and analyses to serve business stakeholders. CIRRUS by Panasonic is building a next-generation data aggregation and visualization platform for the transportation industry, and your work will directly affect the health and safety of drivers on roadways!
About you: You are a flexible team player who is learning to analyze large datasets and create meaningful visualizations. You have knowledge or experience collecting, cleaning, organizing, and visualizing data sets to find insights. You love thinking about data and analysis problems that include identifying trends, patterns, and relationships. You’re able to support technical projects with guidance and support from senior team members to unlock the value of data. You are eager to learn and care deeply about using data to solve business problems.
What you will get to do:
As an Intern Data Analyst, you will work closely with the Senior Data Scientist to create dashboards and analyses that will help drive our business forward.
- Create analyses, dashboards, and reports to support business needs
- Work with the data engineering team to create data views to support analyses
- Consolidate and present findings to internal team stakeholders
What You’ll Bring:
Education & Experience:
- Knowledge and/or experience in building analyses and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Jupiter Notebooks, Power BI, Business Objects, Spotfire, etc.
- Knowledge of programming tools/languages commonly used for data manipulation (especially SQL, Python)
- Bonus
- Experience working with large and/or diverse datasets
- Demonstrated ability to learn new datasets quickly
- Competencies:
- Motivated and hard worker with a desire to support solutions to complex business problems
- A true team player – flexible about your role and ready to do what it takes to get things done
- Insatiable curiosity and lifelong learner
- Building strong analytical skills, good intuition with numbers, connecting the dots, synthesizing disparate information sources, and finding patterns

- NOTE: Internship pay rates are $15/hr to $25/hr, based on the class level (Freshman – Senior) of the candidate and whether the candidate is in an undergrad or graduate school program.
