In this role you will have overall responsibility for maintaining Clean Scapes contractual obligations on client properties regarding herbicide, pesticide, and fertilization management. Related duties include ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel assigned to chemical use and strict adherence to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Working outdoors will expose you to temperature extremes from over 100 degrees in the summer to below freezing in the winter. Pollen, dust and fumes from chemicals, glues, automobiles and power equipment are present daily.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS (all required to be done for up to 10 hours or more a day):
While performing the essential duties of the job, the position requires physical abilities such as heavy lifting, pushing and pulling of up to 50 pounds, manual dexterity, wrist-finger movement, digging using a shovel. In addition, working conditions include inadequate lighting, restricted movement, dirty environment, air contamination, extreme temperatures and weather conditions, intense noise, hazardous materials, or lifting or carrying heavy objects. The employee must be physically coherent and aware at all times especially when dealing with heavy machinery, equipment or while driving.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Knowledge of appropriate treatment for specific insect, weed, turf diseases and nutritional deficiencies by application of appropriate product.
- Maintenance of power spray equipment and the ability to maintain it while keeping it clean and in mechanically sound condition at all times
- The ability to ensure that all field equipment complies with federal, state and local regulations
- Responsibility for chemical oversight and compliance related to crew completion of chemical check-out sheets
- Maintenance of accurate records for chemical usage according to all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations
- Sound judgement related to the application of chemicals (exposure to the public, weather conditions and other environmental considerations)
- Provide and maintain safe physical conditions for spray duties per OSHA standards
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- The ability to work collaboratively with people very different from yourself with humility and authenticity
- Experience and aptitude for landscape maintenance work
- To work long hours outside in heat or cold
LICENSES
- Driver license
- TDA Commercial Applicator License
