The Cyber-Security Sales Specialist is a highly valued and visible position in the sales organization, primarily responsible for acquiring new customers with mid to large enterprise profiles. This person will identify, propose, and close business leading with our security services and products. This role is an individual contributor position supported by technical sales engineering team and solution architects. Ability to travel regularly is expected in order to cultivate, develop and progress business opportunities. This is a remote position and preferred locations are Tampa, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Nashville, and Washington DC Metro area.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities and management of the sales process through closure of the sale.
- Generate and manage an active sales pipeline, qualifying opportunities, and accurately forecast sales.
- Using self-discipline and excellent communication skills, build overall sales strategy, articulate client needs, and assemble the appropriate persons to help close business.
- Develop a business plan to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Make presentations, prepare proposals, conduct negotiations regarding pricing and terms, and be able to interface with other company departments as needed for resource allocation and cooperative purposes.
- Manage the entire sales cycle including mission critical needs analysis, designing client value proposition and working with Solutions Architects to formulate solutions
- Participate in industry related sales activities including customer site visits, trade shows, seminars, and product demonstrations.
- Perform forecasting and documentation using Salesforce.com; understanding and reporting of funnel metrics in assigned territory.
- Creating and uncovering sales opportunities in both new and existing customer accounts through well-planned demand generation and corporate marketing efforts.
- By using internal resources, plan appropriately and respond to RFP’s in a timely fashion
- Foster a team environment to effectively work with inside sales team; identify and share the ways in which both teams can best support one another.
- Managing the full-cycle sales process through qualification, needs analysis, product demonstration, negotiation and close.
- Being accountable for your sales target and overachieving on that sales target.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Full understanding of all aspects of sales process (account planning, opportunity management, etc.) and the ability to negotiate and close deals related to our solutions.
- 7 years of sales success selling enterprise solutions in the network security market with a focus on new customer acquisition.
- Strong track record of success selling outsourced Security services related to Managed Threat detection and network security infrastructure.
- Display proven ability to effectively interact with senior level corporate personnel and present before large groups.
- Demonstrated history of sales target and quota achievement having achieved more than $1M in annual recurring revenue with managed services and/or Cloud security services.
- Excellent work ethic, motivation, and leadership skills.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
- Must be able to travel 50% of the time.
