PWMGoldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyondRESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:THE ROLE OF DESIGN ON OUR TEAMDesigners on our team have tremendous responsibility in shaping the team’s strategic vision. We are ruthlessly focused on our customers, their needs, and our opportunity to provide a better experience for them. Design is responsible for understanding, communicating user needs and reframing them into design solutions that improve our product ecosystem. Design collaborates with developers, researchers and product managers, as well as members of other teams across sales, trading, marketing, brand and legal to bring exceptional user experiences to life. As a team, we transform large-scale, complex problems into intuitive, simple, and impactful products. Our designers must know the importance of building and maintaining standards through a scalable design system and be confident in defending design choices.

You are peers with the ambitious and talented team of designers to ship game-changing products with our product managers and technologists, while focusing on skill-building, pushing the boundaries of design, collaboration and growth. As a creative and designer, you’ll understand the needs of users and reframe them into delightful experiences for our customers, with a keen attention to detail and curiosity.
You are a multifaced designer who has several areas of design, and have experience in user-centered interface design, visual design, and have ideally launched product into the world (web, mobile, app, email, and informing advertising, out of home, web, print, DM, and/or social). You are well versed in visual identity, style, and design systems, bringing a curiosity for industry best practices, ability to hunt down the latest advancements in trends, emerging patterns, and their applicability to our products. You work best when you are working with a team on cracking complex problems and crafting them into elegantly simple, intuitive designs with an eye for the detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with product managers, researchers, and engineers to identify new product opportunities, define problems & goals, map user flows and bring concepts to life
- Toggle between strategic vision for a product and the tactical implementation and be able to bridge the two
- Define user experiences for new and existing digital products in the financial space
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and production quality visual designs
- Work within and maintain our design system, documenting new patterns and components
- Collaborate with designers across other teams to workshop solutions, share insights and feedback, and help to grow the firm’s design culture
- Validate designs and concepts through usability testing
- Work across the firm with other teams to ensure accuracy and consistency, and to build consensus
- Understand the unique needs of our advisor audience and translate them into tangible design solutions
- Use your service and system design experience to elegantly design solutions that are robust yet simply solving for their pain-points at a user and an operations perspective
- Understand the inner workings of the system in place so that you and bring fresh solutions to solve complex problems while balancing the feasibility of its implementation
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years of professional experience designing digital products, UI, Interaction or User Experience Design
- Entrepreneurial drive and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment
- Multiplatform consumer product design experience
- Experience in design thinking/ human centered design
- Collaborate with peers in and out of the discipline
- Strong ability to work within a defined design system and style
