Customer Service Representative

Carr Textile is a global company that sources fabrics throughout the world. We provide our customers with a wide variety of fabrics that are used in Uniforms, Apparel, Fashion Accessories, Home Décor, Medical and Industrial applications. We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team. Good verbal and email communication skills are required to communicate with our customer base. Prior experience in sewing, embroidery, screen printing, quilting, crafting or sublimation is a plus but not necessary.

Duties include:

• Inputting verbal/faxed/e-mailed orders into order entry system
• Answering questions about pricing, stock levels, and order status.
• Calculating freight costs on UPS and LTL carriers
• Inputting new customers and prospects into Goldmine data base
• Position requires a high level of accuracy and flexibility to do many jobs
• Working knowledge of computer accounting software is needed.

Established in 1973, Carr Textile is a converter, importer, distributor and wholesaler of fabrics. Our in stock programs consist of various constructions of fabric including Twill, Chino, Bull Denim, Canvas, Hopsack, Poplin, Sheeting, Printcloth, Osnaburg, Buckram, etc. These fabrics are dyed and finished to our specifications and colors.

Our fabric is used by a wide assortment of manufacturers in Caps, Apparel, Aprons, Bags, Outerwear, Emblems, Industrial, Automotive, etc. Carr Textile is headquartered in Fenton, Missouri, U.S.A., a suburb of St. Louis. We operate a 160,000 sq ft manufacturing and distribution facility in Sikeston, Missouri with the capabilities of re-rolling, biasing, slitting, die cutting, sewing, and plastic extrusion. In addition to Sikeston, MO, we stock more than 6 million yards of fabric in multiple warehouse shipping points in the world.

Carr Textile offers a full line of embroidery backings which includes Tearaways, Cutaways, Fusibles, Wovens, and Water-Soluble. Our die cutting and slitting equipment allow us to offer these products pre-cut shapes or slit to width. Carr Textile also offers biasing and slitting service for your material.
