Job Description

Overview

:

USAP is seeking an analytical and self-driven Customer Service Representative to join our Dallas team. This position is responsible for research, resolution and communication of patient or provider inquiries and any follow-up required afterwards.

Job Highlights

:
  • May include call center responsibilities, including adhering to production and quality standards
  • Answer incoming calls from patients, providers, and facilities
  • Respond promptly to all written inquires and or notify the patient if there will be a delay in obtaining a final resolution
  • Ensure documented notes related to any contact with a patient is documented and accessible throughout the applicable systems
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements
  • Perform invoice adjustments, choose the appropriate outcomes, and communicate with the patient regarding actions
  • Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate in a professional manner across internal departments

Qualifications

:
  • Minimum completion of high school (i.e., diploma or GED)
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the healthcare industry or customer service
  • Bilingual English/Spanish may be required of some positions
  • General knowledge of medical terminology, claims processing and appeals procedures
  • General knowledge of CPT, ICD-9 and ICD-10 and ASA Codes
  • Ability to communicate effective through written and verbal correspondence
  • Strong problem solving, time management and decision-making skills
  • Ability to handle deescalate high pressure situations and exhibit excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to use software, hardware and peripherals related to job responsibilities including MS Office
  • Individual in this position must be able to work in a standard office environment which requires sitting and viewing monitor(s) for extended periods of time, operating standard office equipment such as, but not limited to, a keyboard, copier and telephone
