POSITION SUMMARY

Work includes dust mopping, sanitizing, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, waxing, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, polishing furniture, and operating basic mechanical cleaning equipment. This position may be required to work evenings, nights and weekends, some holidays may be required.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

This position reports to the Facilities Management Supervisor. No other roles report to this position.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • While living and demonstrating our Core Values, the Custodian will:
  • Empty trash containers and recycle receptacles
  • Scrub and clean restroom fixtures and keep restroom supplied with towels, toilet tissue, soap and other items
  • Clean and disinfect, restock paper products in exam rooms
  • Clean, disinfect lobby waiting areas and children rooms
  • Clean, disinfect children’s toys
  • General cleaning of staff areas and offices
  • Dust mop, sweep, wet mop floors
  • Dust, clean, and polish furniture and all surfaces
  • Vacuum rugs and carpets
  • Run floor scrubber
  • Carpet shampooing when needed
  • Clean vestibule windows with weather permitting
  • Dust and clean walls, doors, windows, woodwork and other above floor surfaces
  • Clean interior glass windows
  • Clean elevators and stairwells
  • Maintain outer premises by watering plants, cleaning entrance and keep all entrances clear
  • Use insecticides to prevent infestation of pests and insects
  • Secure facilities after operating hours by locking doors, closing windows, and setting alarm systems
  • Follow and perform infection control procedures
  • Ensure all safety measures are used when housekeeping duties are being performed (e.g. wet floor signs, chemicals are secured and labeled, etc.)
  • Report/Restock any supplies that need to be replenished
  • Assist in the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment
  • Dispense soap, paper and other housekeeping supplies
  • Follow OSHA regulations
  • Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Maybe required to work at other TWCCH facilities
  • All other duties as assigned
. Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year experience preferably in medical office environment
  • Ability to read, write and follow directions
  • A valid PA driver’s license
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and against strict time constraints
