Custodian / EVS Technician - Evenings $28/hr! (1403/2308)

Custodian / EVS Technician needed at prestigious hospital in beautiful La Jolla, CA! This is a full-time, 13 week contract position with a high likelihood of being extended. Make up to $28.00/hour!

· ASAP START – 13 Week contract

· SHIFT: Variable days off, weekends required.

· Must be available for flexible shifts: 3pm-11:30pm and 5pm-1:30am

Job Opening Summary:

· Maintains premises in a clean and orderly manner in compliance with Infection Control practices.

· Cleans offices, patients’ rooms, common areas, lavatories, halls food services areas and any other areas that may require attention.

· Cleans light fixtures, ceilings and vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows and window coverings, floors and carpets.

· Cleans by dusting, mopping, vacuuming and sweeping.

· Replenishes supplies.

· Moves furniture, hang draperies and sets-up tables and chairs as needed.

· May change sheets and replenish linens.

· Follows sanitation and waste disposal policies.

· Additional duties as assigned.

Environmental Service Technicians will be in contact with, and use, many chemicals including but not limited to:

· Virex 256 II (floors)

· Virex Plus (floors)

· Clorox Bleach Wipes

· Oxivir Wipes (main disinfectant cleaner)

· Crew Non-Acid Bowl (toilets)

· Stride (neutral cleaner – many uses)

· General Purpose (floors)

· Glance (glass, mirrors etc.)

· J-512 (food based) Sanitizer

Job Opening Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

· Minimum 2+ Years of EVS Experience in any industry (preferably in a Hospital por Hotel setting).

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on feet for up to 7 hours.
