The CT Technologist 2 is a board certified CT Technologist specializing in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. Collaborates directly with Radiologist regarding CT scan protocol and scan sequence. Provides patient instruction of procedure method. Injects IV contrast for organ enhancement, under the direction of a Radiologist. Performs and understands routine quality control procedures and measurements of the CT systems. Trains Radiology students, Radiologic Technologists, and non-certified Computed Technology Technologists in essential CT duties. Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an ARRT approved School of Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology required.
Experience: 2 years experience working as a Computed Tomography Technologist required
Licenses and Certifications :
BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
One of the following is required
CRT - State of California Certified Radiologic Technologist or CTNM - State of California Certified Tech Nuclear Medicine
And one of the following is required
ARRT(CT) - ARRT Computed Tomography or NMTCBCT - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Computed Tomography
CRTFP - State of California Radiologic Tech Fluoroscopy Permit is preferred
