POSITION SUMMARY
Performs diagnostic computer tomography scans to include abdominal, retroperitoneal and OB/GYN scans and minor surgical procedures utilizing established policies and procedures and ARRT & CRT standards ensuring optimal diagnostic quality. Services are provided based on the ages of the population served; Newborn through geriatric - 65 years or older and in collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team. Maintains equipment and supplies utilized in the provision of services. Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to identify and meet the individualized needs of patients and customers. Assists physicians during procedures ensuring the safety of the patient.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
- Completion of an accredited Radiology Technologist program
- Current ARRT, to include CT credential
- Current California RT license
- Current fluoroscopy license
- Current CPR/BLS certification by the American Heart Association (BLS for the Healthcare Provider) or ability to obtain prior to start date
Minimum Experience
- Minimum of one year experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred
Previous recent experience as CT Scan Technologist preferred
- Sufficient computer skills are required to complete an online application and the pre-employment annual learning requirements
- In compliance with patient safety standards, must be able to effectively communicate in English; Bilingual abilities preferred

- Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
- Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfer patients
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Exposure to stressful environments that may include communicating with difficult individuals in emotional situations
- Contact with patients and guests under a wide variety of circumstances
- Regularly exposed to the risk of blood borne diseases
- Exposure to infections and contagious diseases
- Subject to varying and unpredictable situations, including the handling of emergency or crisis situations
- Subject to pressure due to irregular hours, frequent interruptions and stressful situations due to multiple demands
