Job Description
Position Summary: Federal Data Systems is looking for Cryptanalytic Computer Scientists - Levels I, II, III, and IV. Candidates will provide end-to-end development of solutions that will enable cryptanalytic outcomes. Essential Job Functions:
  • Test innovative approaches, and research and develop new solutions.
  • Develop cryptanalytic capabilities and techniques to exploit cryptographic systems.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Level 1- Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of relevant experience, Associates degree with 4 years of in-depth relevant experience that is clearly related to the position.
  • Level 2- Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience, Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of relevant experience, Associates degree with 7 years of in-depth relevant experience that is clearly related to the position.
  • Level 3- Doctoral degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience, Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of relevant experience, Associates degree with 10 years of in-depth relevant experience that is clearly related to the position.
  • Level 4- Doctoral degree plus 7 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 9 years of relevant experience, Bachelor’s Degree with 11 years of relevant experience, Associates degree with 13 years of in-depth relevant experience that is clearly related to the position.
  • Degree must be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with at least one programming and at least 4 upper-level math classes. (Calculus and above)
  • Relevant experience must be in a computer science area (i.e. theoretical or applied), designing/developing/using/evaluating mathematic models, methods, and/or techniques (e.g. algorithm or development) to study issues and solve problems, engineering (electrical or computer), and/or high performance computing.
  • Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI CI Poly.
  • Multiple locations available: Fort Meade, MD, Hawaii, Georgia, Texas, Utah, Alaska, Colorado, Ohio, United Kingdom, and Germany.

Working Conditions:
Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.
Physical Requirements:
May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
Background Screening/Check/Investigation:
Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.
