Job Description

The primary objective of this This role includes the business and technology recovery coordination for Markets front office and work area recovery oversight for Markets in NAM for Citi’s Institutional Clients Group as part of a Global ICG Continuity & Crisis Management Group.


Responsibilities:

  • Review, update and obtain approval for the Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Business Recovery Plans (BRP) and Crisis Management (CMP) plans per CoB (Continuity of Business) Policy mandated compliance dates

  • Ensure assigned MSS Businesses units are in full compliance with Citi CoB Policy & Standards and Citi meets all local regulatory CoB requirements

  • Use CoB and business knowledge to advise the business on how to enhance recovery strategies, capabilities, and their CoB plans to mitigate business interruption risk/impact more efficiently and effectively

  • Coordinate Denial of Service, Denial of Access and Call Tree tests and ensure compliance adherence for all organizations and ensure results are approved and uploaded in the corporate CoB tool set

  • Establish, Maintain, and Develop a strong relationship with the business recovery teams and Business Unit Heads to ensure business adherence to all Citi, ICG and local regulatory CoB based policies and standards by providing disciplined CoB relationship management and subject matter expertise

  • Oversight of CoB training and business-level awareness programs

  • Ensure business seating requirements for the NAM Markets recovery sites at work area recovery sites are validated as required and that the assigned work area recovery site has all the appropriate infrastructure to support the recovery process for the assigned business

  • Coordinate alternate work area strategy execution and provide recovery support at time of disaster.

  • Provide guidance to Application Development and Support teams on CoB Testing Strategy and Compliance, leveraging current and emerging CoB technologies, to ensure CoB readiness

  • Face off to senior management and technology control teams. Provide continuous test program monitoring, reporting and key program initiatives

  • Liaison with the testing utility and provide oversight & support for end to end applications testing for datacenter tests, technical rooms tests, volume tests and supplier tests

  • Ensure technology plans are updated and tested to meet program requirements.

  • Project Management of key initiatives as defined by the ICG Continuity & Crisis Management and Global COB Operations

  • Provide oversight for Corrective Action Plans includes ensuring implementation of remediation

  • Manage end to end industry tests where required

  • Provide end to end oversight for 3rd parties to ensure compliance with Citi’s 3rd party corporate program.

The candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in experience

  • 6+ yrs of related experience in Business Recovery Plans, Crisis Management Plans

  • Strong Project Management skills

  • Must have US work authorization, this position is not sponsoring visas

  • Strong technology background/ production support experience a plus

  • Strong business/product knowledge and through understanding of technologies supporting the business

  • Understanding of recovery strategy development and insight into industry best practices

  • Practical experience in continuity plan structure, testing, and maintenance

  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels in the organization

  • Advanced user proficiency in Microsoft Office products

  • Excellent analytical , organizational, planning and prioritization skills
