Job Description

Cascadia Healthcare is answering the call for COVID care in the valley, and we need dedicated healthcare professionals to help us care for our residents in their serious time of need! Now offering hazard pay to those who are willing to put themselves on the front lines for others.

PRN LPN Wage starting at $40/hour

PRN RN Wage starting at $50/hour

Job Responsibilities

  • Punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.

  • Administer highest quality of nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients;

  • Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans;

  • Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior;

  • Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care;

  • Maintain accurate patient medical records. Complete all nursing documentation: assessments, orders, progress notes, flowsheets, consents, and any assigned tasks and ensure that said documentation accurately reflects standard clinical documentation guidelines as required by the facility, and local, state and federal rules and regulations.

  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities;

  • Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members;

  • Participates in medication management to promote optimal safety and effectiveness for residents by:

    • Administering medications as ordered, including next scheduled dose following admission/readmission. Notifies Supervisor of medications not available;

    • Preparing, administering and documenting medications as prescribed;

    • Observing and reporting resident responses to medication;

    • Identifying and promptly communicating adverse drug reactions;

    • Initiating enteral or parenteral therapy as ordered;

    • Maintaining narcotic records accurately;

    • Ordering or arranging for ordering of pharmaceuticals;

    • Notifying physicians of automatic stop order; and/or

    • Completing recapitulated physician orders review, as assigned.

  • Assists with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developments with residents. Directs and administers cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma

  • Current valid LPN or RN license in the state employed

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Physical ability to perform job-related duties

Preferred:

  • BSN degree

  • Compassionate and helpful nature

  • Minimum 6 months of SNF or LTC experience

  • Infection Control experience

  • COVID care experience

Shifts

  • 12 hour shift; 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

  • NOC shift only

  • Option to have a set schedule or pick up shifts as needed.
