The hourly pay for the following positions are as follows. ( Please note, the hourly pay are budget amounts for each position and are non-negotiable)

Court Specialist II or Official Records Specialist II - $15.00

Court Specialist III or Official Records Specialist III - $15.15

Court Specialist IV - $16.36

Courtroom Administrator I - $15.15

Courtroom Administrator II - $16.36


Court Specialist II or Official Records Specialist II

Role of position: The purpose of this position is to perform routine clerical and operations support functions. Employees in this classification may be responsible for docketing functions; accepting documents for recording and calculating and cashiering related taxes and fees; indexing documents; searching official records and fulfilling internal and external copy requests; retrieving documents and entering records for storage and tracking purposes; performing record retention and destruction initiatives; and other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications: High school diploma (or GED), supplemented by three (3) years of general work experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.


Court Specialist III or Official Records Specialist III

Role of position: The purpose of this position is to perform moderately complex to advanced clerical and operations support functions. Employees in this classification may be responsible for docketing functions; balancing cashier receipts and investigating discrepancies; processing appeals; processing new cases; processing marriage licenses; issuing process, writs, and other documents; processing car, personal property bonds, surety bonds and cash appearance bonds; transferring cases to other Courts/venues; processing judicial reassignments/recusals; processing registry and bond disbursements; serving as a subject matter expert with regard to accepting documents for recording and/or performing cashier balancing duties or administrative duties delegated by department management; cashiering related fees; serving as a subject matter expert with regard to retrieving documents and entering records for storage and tracking purposes, performing record retention and destruction initiatives, preparing certificate of destruction for the Evidence, Legal Records, Courts, and the BOCC departments, compiling Purge reports, and performing administrative duties delegated by department management; receiving, identifying, securing, recording and releasing evidence; preparing court event forms; performing clerical work in collections; administering the jury selection process; processing, reconciling, and auditing of child support and alimony payments; and other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications: High School (or GED) plus 3 years of recent and relevant experience, some vocational or college preferred; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Court Specialist IV

Role of position: The purpose of this position is to perform advanced, complex clerical and operations support functions. Employees in this classification may be responsible for processing registry/bond deposits and surety and cash appearance bonds; processing appeal cases to Circuit Court, 4th DCA and Supreme Court; processing eminent domain cases; issuing process/writs; performing Violations Bureau services; performing the online sale process; processing new Domestic Violence cases; docketing functions; cashiering related fees; assisting Court Specialist Lead and management team with quality control, overall departmental efficiency and procedural development, as needed; and other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications: High School (or GED) plus 5 years of recent and relevant experience, some vocational or college preferred; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience


Courtroom Administrator I

The purpose of this position is to perform advanced, complex clerical and operations support functions in a civil court division. Employees in this classification may be responsible for preparing cases and appropriate materials for trial; clerking trials, evidentiary hearings, magistrate proceedings, and other proceedings; administering oath; recording events; taking/maintaining custody of evidence; docketing paperwork; preparing evidence for storage and delivering it to the Evidence department; calendaring/setting hearings; and other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications: High school diploma (or GED), supplemented by three (3) years of recent and relevant experience that demonstrates the ability to apply acute attention to detail in maintenance of detailed data, preferably in an automated systems environment; some vocational or college courses preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.


Courtroom Administrator II

The purpose of this position is to perform advanced, complex clerical and operations support functions. Employees in this classification may be responsible for preparing cases and appropriate materials for trial and other court sessions; clerking trials, evidentiary hearings, and other proceedings in Juvenile Dependency, Delinquency, and Circuit and County Criminal and traffic divisions; administering oath; recording events; taking/maintaining custody of evidence; docketing paperwork; preparing evidence for storage and delivering it to the Evidence department; calendaring/setting hearings; and other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications: Associate's degree, supplemented by three (3) years of recent and relevant experience that demonstrates the ability to apply acute attention to detail in maintenance of detailed data, preferably in an automated systems environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
