Who you are:
As a Corporate Counsel you have a strong background in reviewing, putting a "pen to paper", and proposing redlines in an agreement. You have a JD from an accredited law school and are a member of the NJ State Bar. You have also worked in a large volume legal team that reported to the General Counsel in the organization.
You excel in a highly collaborative culture and have a proactive mindset when it comes to agreements to be a true partner to the business stakeholders.
Your strong knowledge of privacy laws and regulations combined with your experience in software licensing, SaaS, and cloud offerings and solutions make you an ideal fit for this Corporate Counsel role.
What you will do:
As a Corporate Counsel you will work cooperatively to explain, negotiate, and achieve execution of commercial transactions – specifically, those involving data commercialization processes (commercial models, service arrangements, contract structures). You will take a first-level role in the negotiation of commercial contracts and service legal agreements; ultimately developing and drafting contract language that protects the assets and interests of GS1 US.
Among other duties you will play a lead role in assisting our members through the complexities that merger and acquisition activity has on their bar codes – a critical service GS1 US provides to its members.
