Job Description


Tiedemann Advisors is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to join our Finance Team. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Corporate Accountant will be responsible for managing daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting tasks, as well as providing support to the Finance Team and the Controller. The position is based out of the Wilmington, Delaware office. Tiedemann Advisors is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to join our Finance Team. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Corporate Accountant will be responsible for managing daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting tasks, as well as providing support to the Finance Team and the Controller. The position is based out of the Wilmington, Delaware office.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain financial records for each of the Firm’s companies, locations, and departments
  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly and accounts receivable weekly
  • Review and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and general ledger accounts
  • Track and reconcile prepaids, accruals, and depreciation of assets
  • Prepare and process semi-monthly payroll for Tiedemann Advisors and Tiedemann Trust Company employees
  • Post corrections for entries, adjustments, and monthly/quarterly accruals in preparation for the company close
  • Assist the Controller with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing of all Tiedemann entities, as well as ad hoc management and board reports
  • Assist the Controller with budgeting, cash forecasting, and planning
  • Serve as back up to accounts payable
  • Work with external auditors to gather and provide information for annual financial statement audits

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 7 years’ relevant work experience
  • CPA preferred
  • Knowledge of GAAP financial reporting and accounting principles and practices
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to facilitate interaction between internal teams and external auditors
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications and basic accounting software packages
  • Experience with Sage Intaact is preferred
