The Opportunity A copywriter on the Studio Team partners with other copywriters, art directors, designers, studio managers and marketing managers to create, iterate, and test copy that drives business and elevates the Adobe brand. Copywriters are responsible for taking marketing briefs for Creative Cloud Express and other Creative Cloud segments and crafting engaging copy that reflects the messaging of those briefs. This job requires frequent attendance at internal Studio meetings as well as broader meetings where work is initiated, reviewed, and approved. The copywriter will also work closely with Studio Creative Directors to ensure that copy adheres to Adobe style and brand guidelines. This role requires flexibility, a deep knowledge of Adobe products, and — above all — a command of the subtleties of writing thoughtful, effective marketing copy across numerous surfaces. What you'll Do
  • A confirmed familiarity with the latest standard methodologies of social media marketing, with a particular emphasis on lively, economical copy.
  • Artistic sensibility—While copywriting requires a proficiency in the written word, it’s equally important for our copywriters to possess a nuanced aesthetic sensibility. Knowledge about design elements, especially about pairing photography concepts with words, is critical.
  • Technical skill—Copywriting may require some technical skills to use software programs like Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, or Adobe InDesign.
  • Communication ability—Copywriting is a pure form of communication, but being a copywriter requires keen verbal skills as well. Copywriters need to support their rationale behind creative work and seek consensus from a variety of partners.
  • Problem-solving ability—In order to succeed, writers need to have strong problem-solving skills and understand how to convey sophisticated subjects simply.
  • In-depth domain knowledge—Shows interest and passion about understanding Adobe products, services, and customers. Understands the marketing campaign life cycle and is familiar with the different phases in the process.
  • Eager to broaden skills and domain expertise, particularly in testing strategies.
What you need to succeed
  • 5+ years of work experience
  • Able to collaborate & use the knowledge of others
  • Ability to collaborate with business units, campaign, functional marketing teams, and larger Studio team closely
  • Willing to constructively receive, weigh, and integrate diverse feedback from a multi-disciplinary team
  • Able to work optimally in a fast-paced environment, both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong presentation and communication skills—engagingly present and communicate copy work to others within Studio and outside.
  • Presents copy in a clear, confident, professional, and cogent manner
  • Able to explain copy rationale for copy decisions to a broad audience
  • Deep experience within a discipline—Must demonstrate significant working experience and a firm understanding of products and offerings
  • Ability to handle open-ended copy projects that may be ambiguous or ill-defined
  • Awareness of industry trends, and ability to incorporate new techniques and trends
  • Anticipates issues and sees the big picture
  • Motivated participant and design advocate—Has a presence with the marketing teams as a key contributor and proponent for effective communications to the target audience.
  • Proactively identifies and communicates issues and proposes solutions
  • Works directly and collaboratively with campaign and marketing teams
  • Actively seeks out and involves other members as appropriate to improve the marketing program(s)
