Job Description

Summary: The Community PreK-12 Coordinator supports and assists the Community Superintendent as required in monitoring and carrying out functions assigned to the Community Superintendent?s Office. The coordinator gives general support which includes but is not limited to monitoring the fidelity and implementation of the Prek-12 instructional programs. As instructed by the Community Superintendent, the coordinator is responsible for parent issues that come to the Community Superintendent?s Office. The Community Coordinator provides professional development support and works closely with the Learning Services Department to monitor and support school level implementation of district initiatives. The Community Coordinator provides specific support to schools in completing School Improvement Plans and utilizing data to drive instructional improvements.

Essential Duties:
Carries out assignments and projects as determined by the Community Superintendent.
Communicates and responds to requests from parents and principals in resolving issues both orally and written.
Assists in the preparation of evaluations for the Community Superintendent.
Meets with the Directors of Learning Services on a monthly basis.
Responds to and sends e-mails and memorandums as required by the Community Superintendent.
Designs and prepares data and general reports on behalf of the Community Superintendent.
Attends meetings and represents the Community Superintendent in his/her absence.
Assists the Community Superintendent in preparing for and following up on all issues that result from various meetings.
Researches and provides data to the Community Superintendent regarding schools in the assigned community.
Performs related duties as assigned.
