Job Description
Position Title: Coord, OR Storeroom - CST
Department: Distribution
Purpose: Coordinator functions in two main roles: functions as a liaison between the OR and Endoscopy clinicians, vendors and Materials Purchasing staff to ensure appropriate products are available for staff and provider use during endo and surgical cases and also assists Storeroom Coordinator in evaluating and maintaining adequate inventory levels of surgical supplies within the OR/Distribution area in a timely and cost effective manner.
Coordinator will also utilize clinical knowledge and experience to research product alternatives during supply chain disruptions, thus assisting in providing safe patient care.
Report To: Manager, Logistics
Supervisory Responsibility: Direction: The job requires some accountability for scheduling, assigning or coordinating work. Employees check the quality of work and provide guidance, instruction, training and direction to others. Although the job does not require formal or official supervisory responsibility, the incumbent serves as group leader or acts in an informal "assistant supervisory" or "lead" role. In addition, the employee may be expected to provide information or suggestions on human resources matters.
Materials Responsibility: Moderate: Work requires moderate responsibility for material resources. Examples of resources could include operating budgets for a work unit or department, specialized equipment, costly or unusual materials or supplies, large amounts of cash or other material assets. The employee has a moderate amount of control over these resources. The cost of errors might result in moderate damage, waste or financial loss. The difficulty, variety and depth of problems associated with these material resources is moderately complex.

Education: Associate's Degree
Field Of Study: Surgical Technology
Special Training: Surgical tech experience in the OR
Training Preferred:
Licensure/Registration: Certification by Association of Surgical Technologists
Experience: More than 1 year experience required.
Interpersonal Skills: Interaction is with a variety of people inside or outside the organization. Communications are often difficult or stressful in nature. Contact with others involves complex, detailed and often sensitive topics. The job requires a high degree of interpersonal skills to deal with a range of complicated problem situations. Interactions involve gaining the agreement of others.
Working Conditions: There is very limited exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Some undesirable or unpleasant environmental characteristics may occur but the physical environment is generally safe and there is minimal health risk. No safety equipment or unusual precautions are required. The amount of time the employee may experience these minor adverse conditions would be limited to 10% or less of the work day.
