Deloitte recently launched the Converge™ hybrid market offering as part of a $750M investment in product development over the next 5 years, which will blend the agility of a startup and the reach of a leading professional services firm. Converge is launching a Banking Suite product line to compete in the exciting FinTech ecosystem, which will focus on delivering a world-class customer experience for consumer and small businesses of smaller banks and non-banks. The Banking Suite platform is a cloud-native stack at every layer and aims to help Banking Suite clients compete with large bank incumbents and FinTechs with the flexibility to deliver innovative marketing, product, and pricing strategies, while enjoying dramatically lower digital bank operating costs. The Banking Suite team is looking to build a FinTech startup team with a passion for innovation and the experience to launch a high-quality digital banking product.

Work You'll Do
  • Design, build, and operate digital experiences, business processes, and features within the BankingSuite platform by defining capabilities, creating user stories, and managing multiple FinTech vendors within a modern and complex ecosystem.
  • Prioritize strategic requests, work with external firms, and execute changes in a high-quality fashion.
  • Measure progress towards OKR's and KPI's for continuous product improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hands on execution of the product capabilities, starting with feature definition and prioritization, creating of user stories, and personally testing all new features
  • Measure OKR's and KPI's for prospect conversion, customer adoption, and retention by demonstrating highly usable customer experiences, UI's, and/or internal business processes
  • Build the feature list that becomes the foundation for all change and operating activities, including identifying and treating differentiating and hygiene features differently.
  • Define business rules, data definitions, and guide UX design to ensure high-quality and well-defined applications are created, with a primary focus on radically frictionless and highly valued FinTech experiences
  • Obsess daily over the customer experience through data-driven analysis, validated learning, and designing comparative experiments. Manage the ongoing interactions with lead users. Use the product as an end user to build empathy and self-identify improvements.
  • Ensure management is always informed of progress through feature completion tracking and working software demonstrations




Qualifications

Required :
  • 3+ years' experience as a Product Owner in digital financial services, preferably in FinTech (retail banking or payments) supporting mobile and web-based consumer products in the retail banking or payments industry.
  • Knowledge of multiple disciplines including emerging product management practices, HCI and design-thinking, lean startup principles, business systems analysis, BPM, customer experience management, usability engineering, scrum project methods, and quality assurance
  • Experience with all digital user interaction models, from web to mobile to push notifications to emerging HCI channels such as Alexa
  • Experience with emerging DevOps methods and tools, such as agile/scrum, continuous integration, automated configuration management, test driven development, data center and cloud automation, and UI monitoring and measurement tools.
  • Some experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms and/or large complex systems serving millions of end consumers a plus
  • B.S. in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (M.S. and/or MBA preferred)

Preferred:
  • Strong mix of analytical (interaction and flow design) and artistic (brand and style) design thinking
  • Ability to anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
  • Strong attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously
  • Superior verbal and written communications skills and history of teamwork


The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $94,000-$171,000.


  • You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
