Casa de Fruta, a California landmark roadside attraction since 1908, is located in the beautiful Pacheco Valley alongside Highway 152 between Highways 5 and 101 in Hollister, CA. We are a multi-faceted operation consisting of retail businesses, a restaurant, an RV park and inn, a fuel station, warehouse and orchard operations, as well as a winery. We are currently seeking a hands-on Controller / Office Manager to manage the financial and administrative activities for this unique operation.

Position purpose: Manage all areas and aspects of the Accounting department for all entities of Casa de Fruta. Lead and direct the work of others within Accounting and Business Office.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
- Prepare, coordinate and manage the operational aspects of monthly closings of the financial statements for all entities, including journal entries and account reconciliation.
- Oversee and maintain, on a daily basis, all cash flow analysis for all entities, transferring funds as necessary.
- Maintain fixed asset/depreciation spreadsheet with CPA.
- Direct, manage and help solve problems with A/P, A/R, C/R, P/R, Inventory Control, and online sales.
- Oversee Chevron Lotto and Lottery Ticket sales spreadsheets, discuss any concerns with Chevron Manager.
- Create, implement and maintain all job descriptions and written procedures for all areas of the Business Office.
- Attend and participate in quarterly safety meetings.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting preferred; or five or more year’s related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Position Requirements: Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, and Dynamics or other accounting software. Working knowledge of online sales software would be very helpful.
Preferences: Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Have the ability to train employees on any new processes and procedures.
