Contracts and Proposals Manager
Biofourmis is seeking a Contracts and Proposals Manager to manage and prepare proposals in response to sales opportunity requests, particularly Requests for Proposal/Information/Quote (RFP, RFI, RFQ). Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing enterprise customer and collaborator contracts, including reviewing sections of interest, suggesting standard responses, and following up with Legal and appropriate internal stakeholders for review and execution.
This individual will be a part of the Business Strategy and Operations team and work closely with Sales to support Therapeutic and Health opportunities. This includes Biofourmis customers, collaborators, and potential partners that are seeking clinical trial support, pharmaceutical companies, healthcare providers, medical device manufacturers, digital health companies, and health systems. Experience with clinical trial environments, clinical research organizations, or other relevant healthcare fields is required.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all components of contracts and proposals are managed to meet the objectives of the company. This includes interfacing closely with internal stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, Legal, Customer Success, R&D, Clinical, Finance, and PMO to ensure accurate and timely information is gathered and included. This individual will build, maintain, and draw from an internal knowledgebase of prior responses and contracts, including utilizing a proposal management process/tool, and reduce the burden on other internal SMEs and stakeholders. The successful candidate will exhibit high attention to detail, flexibility, and be eager to dive in and tackle day-to-day tasks, often under ambiguous circumstances. They will work to ensure Biofourmis is set up to respond to and win key opportunities with customers and collaborators. This is a remote position within a highly motivated geographically dispersed team and is ideally suited for someone in the contiguous US.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for analyzing, managing, and completing incoming requests for proposals, quotes, information, and other opportunities, and facilitating internal subject matter experts to ensure timely and accurate responses.
- Responsible for managing the evaluation and execution of corporate contracts, including those involving clinical trials, pharma companies, healthcare providers, medical device manufacturers, digital health companies, and health systems.
- Support the development, administration, and execution of master service agreements, collaboration agreements, clinical trial agreements, NDAs, and other relevant contracts.
- Expert in filling out requested information or identifying internal stakeholders to provide appropriate input.
- Must be comfortable reaching out to individuals across the organization, and with third parties, establishing professional relationships, and ensuring deliverables are met on time and with high quality.
- Develop a solid understanding, and be compliant to, all processes and policies for preparing proposals and contracts
- Must be able to develop, maintain, and pull from an internal knowledgebase of prior proposals and contracts and be comfortable working with contract and proposal management software
- Must be able to manage requirements, identify discrepancies, and interact with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues with minimal oversight
- Assist with process and tool development as needed to support Business Strategy and Operations activities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in clinical trial environments, clinical research organizations (CRO), or other relevant healthcare fields, including at least 3 years experience directly working with contract and proposal management
- High attention to detail with strong collaboration and communication skills
- Self-starter, able to wear multiple hats in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment, often under ambiguous circumstances
- Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business Management, or related field
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of CRO industry
- Experience with SaaS contracts
- Experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and processes
