POSITION SUMMARY
Radiology Partners is seeking a Contracts Manager/ Paralegal who will join its busy and growing legal department, working with and in support of its highly experienced business team and attorneys. The role is well suited for a recent college graduate looking to begin a career in law and may be considering law school or becoming a paralegal. The legal department is a fast-paced yet highly collaborative environment in which to learn and develop, and reflects the professional, energetic, and supportive culture of Radiology Partners. The Contract Manager/Paralegal will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, revising and coordinating the execution and eventual electronic filing of contracts and other documents, maintaining and organizing electronic legal files, maintaining templates and key term checklists used to review contracts and performing special projects (as needed), among other responsibilities.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, review, revise and track signatures on contracts and other legal documents under the supervision of the Legal Team’s attorneys
- Review, analyze, and summarize significant legal and business points in documents and agreements
- Help develop and maintain agreement templates and key term checklists used to review and revise contracts
- Build relationships, communicate with and provide legal support to, external Practice clients and internal clients of the Practice’s legal team
- Develop, enhance and utilize key term checklists to provide initial reviews of agreements
- Communicate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve problems
- Perform legal and business research
- Perform other legal and administrative tasks at the request of the Legal Team’s attorneys
- Obtain signatures of corporate executives and practice representatives on important documents
- Coordinate, help schedule and attend Legal team meetings and cross-functional team meetings
- Periodically prepare minutes of Legal Team meetings
- Attend and draft re-caps of periodic meetings on contract status updates
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree with proven academic success, some work experience preferably in law or healthcare, with a strong desire to pursue a career in law as either a lawyer or paralegal.
- Paralegal Certification from an American Bar Association approved program – preferred but willing to consider pursing Certification
- Extremely organized and analytical with the ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, including redlining and marking / tracking changes to contracts during negotiations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Positive professional demeanor
- Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments across the Practice
