Responsibilities

    Draft, review, analyze, negotiate, process and amend both basic form agreements and specialized form agreements, including agreements for construction, technical ride/show, and live entertainment projects, as required to comply with Universal Studios Hollywood contracting policy and procedures. Includes selecting the proper form of contract, reviewing and assisting business clients with the preparation of the scope of work and related contract documents, circulating drafts for review, finalizing contract documents, obtaining execution signatures and preparing appropriate correspondence and follow up as necessary. Examples of contract forms include Master Agreements, Work Authorizations, Change Orders, etc. Prepare and issue agreement amendments, change orders, and close out documentation. Ensure compliance of contractual obligations and that policies and procedures/internal controls are followed in all transactions related to this role. Assist requestors with preparation of attachments and/or exhibits. Assist requestors with preparations and negotiation of contracts terms and report non-compliance issues to Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs and Director of Contract Administration. Prepare contract abstracts as needed. Assist Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs, and Director of Contract Administration with periodic legal training seminars to facilitate deeper learning of legal concepts and internal procedures. Attend weekly/monthly project (construction, etc.) meetings and specified team staff meetings necessary to facilitate ongoing communication between Legal Affairs and USH/UCW business partners. Issue Contract Status Reports. Maintain contract files, document control, obligation trackers, and retention of files. Assist with legal research as required. Perform various other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

Minimum 3-5 Years contract administration experience including drafting in a high volume environment
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required.
Must have excellent written and verbal skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Desired Characteristics

Paralegal certificate
Theme parks contracts experience (or construction/technical or sourcing contract experience), volume transactions, and fast track project driven environment experience preferred.
Proven ability to communicate professionally with all business levels over the phone, through written communication and in-person.
Proven ability to work independently, identify and communicate creative solutions to challenges, maintain a strong focus on business priorities and be persistent in follow-through.
Proven ability to orchestrate and execute multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment using resources effectively and efficiently.
Proven ability to quickly and comfortably follow complex workflow processes and navigate various electronic systems.
