Undisclosed Description/QualificationsThe Contracts Administrator assists with the execution, development, negotiations and evaluations of contracts on behalf of the company while ensuring that both parties are complicit with the terms of the contract, as well as ensuring that all contracts abide by local and federal law including FAR and DFAR clauses. They are responsible for performing contract assignments in support of Corporate contract/procurement activities including the audit/review process. The Contract Administrator has the authority to perform day-to-day activities while ensuring appropriate senior management stays abreast of issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION
- Assists with the daily administration of contracts and proposals including, but not limited to, negotiation of agreements, contract setup and close-out, contract modifications and maintenance of contract files (electronic and hard copy when necessary).
- Facilitates contract and proposal issues with legal, program management, Senior Leadership, and contracting parties, as necessary.
- Establishes communication and connections with vendors, customers, and other government agencies.
- Inputs and maintains documents such as contract amendments (i.e. MODS), proposals, track financial information, correspondence, reports, and CDRLs for multiple contracts.
- Assists with review of requirements and implements changes to federal law or regulation changes.
- Completes projects in accordance with deadlines without constant supervision
- Assists management with contract negotiations.
- Ensures required reporting is completed and submitted
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or equivalent and 1 – 3 years of related experience is REQUIRED. Must possess basic knowledge of contract types, terms and legal requirements. Must possess basic knowledge of laws, negotiations, accounting or cost accounting gained through education or experience. Must possess basic knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Must possess basic knowledge of Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR). Previous experience as a contract administrator is preferred. Must possess excellent written and oral communication and analytical skills. Ability to administer several projects independently and concurrently, with ongoing changes in priority. Must possess ability to think independently and work effectively with minimal supervision. Must possess strong P/C computer skills.
