Contract Manager
US-remote
Cohesity's Legal Department is seeking a driven, ambitious contract manager to join our growing commercial team. Candidates in Europe and the USA will be considered. This position is primarily remote, but we have existing team concentrations in San Jose, California and Dublin, Ireland.
The role involves responsibility for the management and administration of contracts, and also offers a genuine opportunity to expand areas of responsibility within a dynamic and fast-growing company. It is not an attorney/lawyer role, but may be perfect for a non-practicing / practice support lawyer.
The role will involve:
- Hands-on experience with a fast-paced learning curve, in line with Cohesity's culture and values;
- Being embedded with a team of lawyers handling complex commercial, technology and other contracts;
- Opportunities to interface with internal clients and external enterprise customers;
- Autonomy and responsibility for improving processes/operations, including templates and negotiation playbooks; and
- Other activities to support our rapidly growing and evolving go-to-market functions.
The successful candidate may be asked to spend a short period of time (1-2 weeks) in San Jose or Dublin, Ireland for training.
How You'll Spend Your Time Here
- Drive innovate, optimize and evolve Cohesity forms, templates and playbooks to drive contract velocity and standards.
- Autonomously address nonstandard requests using playbooks.
- Summarize and communicate legal/business concepts to non-Legal teams.
- Leverage and recommend improvements to key metrics and developments. Help define input and output metrics to drive new learnings.
- Collaborate with attorneys to structure, negotiate, and close complex transactions.
- Help drive implementation and insights through a contract management platform.
- Manage and solve complex process breakdowns.
- Create first drafts of legal terms for attorney review.
- Project manage key initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal partners using discretion and prioritization to escalate as necessary.
- Create presentations and reports for senior management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized university. 2+ years experience in Contract Management or a similar role.

We expect the successful candidate to have some but not all required skills on day one; aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn are more important than existing skills.

This position has a minimum base salary starting at $55,000/year. Bonus, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity may be eligible for this position. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible for benefits including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.
