Evoqua Water Technologies is currently seeking a Contract Manager to work in our global headquarters in downtown Pittsburgh. This position will be providing support and guidance to our business and our customers in the review of contract documents, bids and proposals.

• Review and revise contracts with moderate to high risk; including non-routine agreements that may require specialized contract vehicles and techniques to accomplish business goals

• Evaluate significant, and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and business procedures

• Counsel business on risks of customer terms and approvals required per internal approval process

• Guide the preparation and negotiation of contracts and provisions of service/bid contracts

• Use autonomous judgment and review to identify and resolve issues

• Develop new contract policies and processes as needed

• Display critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems

Position Requirements, Knowledge, Experience

• BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience;

• Successful experience in a corporate contract environment which includes full life cycle internal and external contract negotiations

• Prior experience collaborating with multiple departments within an organization such as; Procurement, Engineers, Operations, Field Office and other corporate departments

• Ability to draft moderate to complex, non-routine contractual instruments

• Working to excellent understanding of corporate policies and procedures, coupled with ability to identify required improvement to established policies

• Working knowledge of contracting concepts, Uniform Commercial Code, applicable public contract acquisition law and regulations, and applicable international contract law

• Demonstrated use of judgment and creativity applied to resolution of contract issues

• Excellent internal and external negotiation skills
