Contract Lawyer

We are seeking a corporate attorney who can provide quality legal services on a contract basis to our large, diverse client base. The right candidate will have prior experience as in-house counsel or as an M&A, corporate, or IP associate in larger firm. This position is ideal for someone looking for remote work billed and paid on a project basis.

$75-$100 hourly

• Manage administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks
• Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
• Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
• Work closely with and provide leadership to administrative staff concerning client billing, client meetings and invoicing, as well as finalizing client projects
• Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings

• Over 1 year of experience representing clients in a law firm
• Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years a plus
• Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred
• Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision
• Well-versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis)
