Job Information

In order to protect our employees and continue to provide safe and reliable service to our communities, as of November 14, 2021, we are requiring all new MTA hires to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to their start date. MTA will consider exceptions for religious and medical reasons, where appropriate. “Fully vaccinated” means you must have both doses of a 2-dose vaccine and two weeks have elapsed since the second dose, or have received (1) dose of a 1-dose vaccine and two weeks have elapsed since the dose. Proof of your vaccination status in the form of a CDC vaccine card must be submitted prior to your start date.

JOB TITLE: Contingent Temporary Employee for COVID Assistance

AGENCY: Construction & Development

REPORTS TO: Human Resources Business Partner

WORK LOCATION: 2 Broadway

HOURS OF WORK: 9:00 AM to 5:30 AM or as required (7.5HR/DAY)

COMPENSATION: $20.00 to $25.00 Hourly

Summary

The Construction & Development People Department seeks contingent employees to support the COVID-19 response functions. Members of the COVID-19 response team will be responsible for performing contact tracing on Covid positive employees, overseeing and ensuring a smooth return to work process for C&D employees.


Responsibilities

Respond to emails and phone calls concerning COVID-19

Coordinate the ongoing end-to-end return to workplace process.

Collect, organize, and manage confidential data.

Learn the contact tracing process and support the function.

Communicate, follow up, and provide guidance to employees on return to workplace procedures.

Respond quickly and diligently to keep pace with the needs of the organization.

Provide excellent customer service.

Maintain organized and detailed records.


Education and Experience

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and one (1) to three (3) years of administrative experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

Covid – 19 Contact Tracing Certificate or completion of a related course considered

Experience handling sensitive, confidential employee information and/or working in HR.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to quickly learn new information.

Analytical skills, good judgment, and detail-oriented.

Customer service focused.

Ability to work with technology.

Ability to multi-task.


Other Information

As an MTA Construction & Development employee, you may be required to complete the New York State financial disclosure statement – annually if your position earns $101,379 (this figure is subject to change) per year if the position is designated as a policymaker.
