Job Description

At Glowforge, we help people bring home the future and make it their own. Our printer uses a laser to carve and engrave products from raw materials like wood, leather, acrylic – even cardboard. Take a look and see for yourself.

We build magical products to delight our customers, and we do it while taking care of each other. We hire people who are outstanding at what they do, who thrive in tight-knit teams, and who want to make things that make a difference.

Together, we've built a product we're incredibly proud of, and the reward has been incredible growth.

We work together because we believe in the power of creativity. We believe we can bring about a future where anyone can print anything.

This is a full-time role in Seattle, and we are happy to help new employees relocate to this beautiful city.

Why We Need You

80% of Glowforge owners weren’t looking for a 3D laser printer when they came across Glowforge. But then they saw an ad, watched a video, or heard about it from a friend. When they clicked, they fell in love with this magnificent making machine.

Did you catch that we mentioned people watching videos? They do so because the content is clear, engaging and captivating. Now imagine what more we can do as you join us to lead our in-house creative production efforts. Your deep expertise and clear vision for content will allow us to elevate our storytelling to a new level, capturing millions of hearts and minds and dramatically accelerating our growth.

Here's What You'll be doing

As Senior Content Producer, you're the lead on everything related to video, audio, and photo production. No matter the digital medium, you make magical things come to life.

You'll handle pre-production, team meetings, contractor relations, and post-production. Your creative vision and production chops will help us make Glowforge a household name.

You will build out a professional production studio within Glowforge’s current space and use that studio to create magnificent content with a group of production assistants that love working with you.

You won't have to do it alone, either! You'll work with the rest of the Creative Team (writers, photographers, designers, editors) to make Glowforge look its best.

We know that you’re a top-flight producer and could work anywhere. But we think you’ll be happiest here because instead of making dystopian software look friendly, you'll build a major consumer product that is changing lives.

You need this Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, marketing, advertising or related field preferred. Or a magical portfolio that makes us forget to even check your degree.
  • You have 5+ years of creative and production experience with 2+ years of experience shooting lifestyle and product video
  • You get complicated projects done fast. Your production schedules are in days and weeks, not months.
  • You have design experience to support graphic overlays and photo editing where necessary (including full Adobe Suite)
  • You are a ton of fun in brainstorms, and you make everyone's ideas better.
  • Gaffer tape is your best friend.
It would be nice if you have.
  • A deep passion for crafting, making, designing, building, or 3D printing.

In your cover letter, in addition to whatever you’d like to say, please tell us about the product or feature you’re most proud of in your portfolio. What about it makes you grin from ear to ear?

There's one more, very important thing. We are an equal opportunity employer. We search for amazing people of diverse backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and perspectives. We take care of each other to create an inclusive work environment where we love to come to work every day. We'd be happy to provide reasonable accommodations to help you apply - just email us at jobs@glowforge.com. We'd love to have you join us.
